Northeast monsoon continues to hit Johor, five districts still flooded

JOHOR BARU: The northeast monsoon continues to impact Johor, with five districts still affected by floods, says the state Disaster Management Committee.

The committee added that as at 6pm Sunday (March 23), there was a slight improvement in the situation with over 4,200 victims from 1,356 families currently housed in 29 active temporary relief centers (PPS).

“The overall trend indicates a gradual decline in the number of affected victims, down from 4,597 recorded earlier in the day. However, authorities remain on high alert.
