ASL 4, a key healthcare provider in the Liguria region, has recently announced the appointment of four new directors to lead critical departments. • Dr. Riccardo Banchero: Appointed Director of the SC Urology on February 2, 2025. Dr. Banchero’s extensive background includes numerous publications and previous work at the Urological Clinic of Genoa of the Policlinico San Martino.He also served as a professor at the University of Genoa’s School of Specialization in Urology.
• Dr. Camilla Sticchi: Named primary of the SC Hygiene and Public Health, effective February 24. Dr. Sticchi previously directed the “Regional coordination of the prevention and epidemiology activities” at A.li.sa as 2021. Notably, this marks a return to ASL 4, where she previously served in the medical direction of garrison from 2009 to 2014.
• Dr. Francesca Zucchi: Assumed the role of director of the SC physical Medicine and Rehabilitation in early March. Dr. zucchi brings experience from Savonese ASL 2, where she managed rehabilitation and outpatient activities for a population of approximately 155,000 as 2001. She has also been actively involved with the Italian society of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (Simmfir), serving as the Liguria Regional Secretary since 2014.
• Dr.Andrea Parodi: elevated to Director of Gastroenterology, recognizing his long-standing leadership in the department.Dr.Parodi has been instrumental in developing gastroenterology services at ASL 4 since 2019, progressing from head of a simple departmental structure to leading the complex structure. His prior experience includes positions at AO Ospedali Galliera and the Sanremo hospital of ASL 1.
