“The Governor of Punjab in exercise of the powers conferred under Article 165 of the Constitution of India, is pleased to appoint Sh. Maninderjit Singh Bedi … as Advocate General for the State of Punjab with effect from the date he assumes charge of his office,” the State government said in a notification today.
The appointment comes on the heels of resignation of Senior Advocate Gurminder Singh from the post. Singh had been appointed as the AG in October 2023.
