Limerick’s refusal to quit until the final whistle impressed manager Jimmy Lee after they went out of the Munster football championship to Cork at the Gaelic Grounds.
Despite playing with 14 men from the 25th minute, they fought hard in the second half before conceding defeat. Now the Tailteann Cup, which starts in five weeks, is their priority.
