The final field for the Grand National on Saturday is almost complete, but there’s plenty on Friday to set the scene before the world’s greatest jumps race comes under orders.
First up is the not inconsiderable matter of the David Power Jockeys’ Cup which will be decided today, with a massive £1.5million prize pot up for grabs.
It will be a good day for Team Skelton as Harry was crowned king and picks up the stg £500k pot for the leading jockey. Brother Dan could also land a stg £100k chunk of change as leading trainer.
