Max Morgan makes amends while while emotional Archie Goodburn claims silver

An emotion-filled men’s 50m breaststroke final kicked off day two of the Aquatics GB Swimming Championships (formerly British Swimming Championships) on Wednesday 16 April at the London Aquatics Centre.

Max Morgan won the sprint, a newly announced Olympic event for LA 2028, making amends for missing out on claiming the British title in the men’s 100m breaststroke after taking an extra stroke on day one.

Frustrated with his error, which also saw him miss out on dipping under the magical 60-second mark for the first time like race winner Gregory Butler, Morgan made no mistake here, hitting the wall in 27.69, smiling broadly on seeing the scoreboard.
