The Twin Oaks pub in Castleknock, Dublin
Businessman John Roe has purchased the Twin Oaks pub in Castleknock, Dublin 15 for more than €2m. Mr Roe also owns and operates other licensed premises including Door 22 in South Anne St, Dublin 2, and The Riverside in Celbridge, Co Kildare.
John Ryan of selling agents BDM said that strong competition saw publicans and restaurateurs living within the Castleknock area bid for the Twin Oaks. Bidding surpassed the €1.75m guide price to reach a figure of more than €2m and reflected the pent-up demand to own and operate a quality licensed premises in this area.
