Muret Gears Up for a Musical Extravaganza

muret is set to become a vibrant hub for musical theater as “The Most Beautiful Musicals” prepares to grace the stage at the Horizon-Pyrénées room on Saturday, May 17th, at 8:30 PM. This performance marks the second stop on “The Musical festival” tour, following its debut at the prestigious Seine Musicale in Paris.

A Director’s Vision: From Paris to the Provinces

Nathan Guichet, the director and trainer behind this ambitious project, emphasizes the tour’s meaning. In Muret, we make the second date of our tour, he stated, highlighting the importance of bringing high-caliber musical performances to diverse audiences. Guichet’s vision extends beyond the main show, with a specially adapted children’s version also in the works. This kid-amiable rendition, featuring beloved Disney classics such as La petite Sirène (The Little Mermaid) and The Snow Queen, has already captivated audiences in Paris and on Broadway.

Cult Classics and Rising Stars: A Fusion of Talent

Guichet has assembled a dynamic troupe of 40 multidisciplinary artists to bring his vision to life. Thes performers, driven by a shared passion for musicals, draw inspiration from iconic films like Grease, Dirty Dancing, and The Blues Brothers, reflecting the profound influence of the 1980s on thier artistic sensibilities. The show also pays homage to landmark French productions such as Starmania, Notre-Dame de Paris, and Romeo and Juliet.

NS World Studio International, with campuses in paris, Marseille, and Aix, serves as a training ground for these emerging talents. The studio nurtures nearly 800 students, providing them with the skills and experience necessary to thrive in the competitive world of musical theatre. It is a training center, which means that we learn a job. We train future nuggets from the music from the age of 16. Some of the studio’s alumni have already made their mark in productions like Les Cités d’or and Holidays Le Musical, which features the music of Madonna.

A Constantly Evolving Musical Tapestry

“the Most Beautiful Musicals” weaves together a tapestry of iconic shows, including Romeo and Juliet, Notre-Dame de Paris, Mozart l’Opéra Rock, Mamma Mia, Grease, We Will Rock You, and the Ten Commandments. The show features approximately forty emblematic songs, with new additions constantly being integrated to keep the experience fresh and engaging.

The production aims to resonate with audiences of all ages, evoking a sense of nostalgia and discovery. It is a bit of a Madeleine de Proust. The youngest discover, the older ones rediscover, Guichet explains, highlighting the show’s ability to connect with viewers on a personal and emotional level. Behind the scenes, a dedicated team of costumers, lighting designers, video artists, choreographers, and vocal coaches work tirelessly to bring the spectacle to life. The production boasts an impressive wardrobe of 400 costumes.

Guichet himself steps back onto the stage to portray Moses in The Ten Commandments, demonstrating his continued passion for performing.
