A Grenadian delegation recently landed at Simón Bolívar International Airport in Maiquetía, Venezuela, marking the commencement of an official visit aimed at bolstering relations between the two nations. The delegation was greeted by Venezuelan Minister for Tourism, Leticia Gómez, and Deputy Minister of the Chancellery for the Caribbean, Raúl Li Causi, signaling the importance Venezuela places on this diplomatic engagement.

Both Grenada and Venezuela are active members of the Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our America – Treaty of Commerce of the Peoples (ALBA-TCP), a bloc established in 2004 by hugo Chávez and Fidel Castro. This alliance serves as a platform for regional cooperation and solidarity. During the XXIII Summit of ALBA-TCP in Caracas last year, Grenada’s Foreign Minister, Joseph Andall, lauded Cuba and Venezuela as beacons of solidarity within the region.
