Guelph Outdoor School exposed to measles

Wellington-Dufferin-Guelph Public Health is warning of a recent measles exposure at the Guelph Outdoor School. 

Anyone not fully vaccinated who was at 733 Stone Rd. E. location from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on May 2 should monitor for symptoms until May 23. Symptoms may include fever, a runny nose, cough, red, watery eyes, tiny white spots inside the mouth, and a red, blotchy rash. 

If you develop symptoms or suspect you have measles, contact a healthcare professional. Anyone fully vaccinated does not need take any further action if exposed to measles.

As of May 13, there were 68 number of confirmed and probably cases locally. Last week the area was deemed high-risk for exposure by the province.
