Richie Bennis, the last manager to lead Limerick to an All-Ireland senior hurling final before the days of plenty under John Kiely, ponders the gargantuan battle that awaits on Shannonside.

Limerick have all the Celtic Crosses, but Cork have the recent bragging rights. Twice, last season, Pat Ryan’s resurgent Rebels prevailed by wafer-thin two-point margins after breathless epics.
