TEMPO.CO, Jakarta – Vice Minister of Home Affairs Bima Arya Sugiarto stated that the government is open to the possibility of implementing a digital voting mechanism or electronic voting (e-voting) in the 2029 elections.
According to him, the readiness for the implementation of technology-based voting will be refined.
Bima announced that the 2025 village head elections (Pilkades) will adopt an e-voting system. He emphasized that there are no obstacles regarding the infrastructure required to support this new voting method.
