‘Short-sighted nonsense’ – David Nucifora blasts IRFU Sevens decision as leading backer says he wasn’t consulted before programme was axed

A leading financial backer of the IRFU’s Sevens programme has revealed that he was not consulted before the union took the decision to axe the Men’s set-up last week.

And the founder of that programme, former IRFU performance director David Nucifora, has hit out at the decision taken by his successor David Humphreys, describing it “short sighted nonsense”.
