GHAZIABAD: A 58-year-old sub-inspector died when the roof of the Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) office in Ankur Vihar collapsed during severe storms and heavy rainfall in the early hours of Sunday. The deceased officer, identified as Veerendra Mishra from Etawah, had started his career as a constable in the Uttar Pradesh Police. ACP Ajay Kumar Singh said Mishra was working late on Saturday night at the office to complete some tasks and fell asleep there. Around 2am on Sunday, the roof gave way due to the storm, fatally injuring him.
