Louth manager Ger Brennan made no excuses, after watching his Leinster champions’ defeat to Monaghan in their All-Ireland series opener.

“The better team won today. So credit to Monaghan, they played some lovely attacking football, and were very efficient in front of the goals,” said Brennan.
