Indian wrestlers continued their strong showing at the Ulaanbaatar Open 2025 wrestling Ranking Series on Saturday, with Reetika Hooda leading the charge by claiming gold in the women’s 76kg freestyle category.
The 22-year-old Indian wrestler, who competed at the Paris 2024 Olympics, sealed the title with a perfect 3-0 record in the Nordic system, culminating in a tense 5-2 win over home favourite and world medallist Enkh-Amaryn Davaanasan in the final pool bout.
The day also saw India adding four more medals to their tally – a silver each from Deepak Punia (men’s 92kg), Shiksha (women’s 65kg), and Pushpa (women’s 55kg), along with a bronze for Jaideep (men’s 74kg).
