New PNP chief: Roque’s arrest one of my priorities

THE new Philippine National Police (PNP) chief, MGen. Nicolas Torre III, on Sunday vowed to bring fugitive Harry Roque to justice.

A day before he was to take over as the 31st PNP head, Torre told The Manila Times that among the pressing concerns is to eventually bring back the former presidential spokesman to the country.

He said he will also focus on the arrest of former Bureau of Corrections (BuCor) chief Gerald Bantag.

Torre will assume the PNP leadership at 10 a.m. in simple rites at Camp Crame, where President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. will be the guest of honor.
