Jakarta (ANTARA) – Indonesia’s National Disaster Mitigation Agency (BNPB) is engaging hundreds of college students to accelerate the verification of data on homes affected by floods and landslides in East Aceh District, Aceh Province.
BNPB Deputy for Rehabilitation and Reconstruction Jarwansah explained that the initiative began with technical training for local students, enabling them to assist local governments in assessing the extent of damage.
“A total of 220 students from East Aceh took part in the training, where they received instruction on data collection and housing damage indicators,” he said in a statement cited on Saturday.
