Kota Padang (ANTARA) – Andre Rosiade, a member of the House of Representatives (DPR), stated that the government will soon prepare regulations for community mining permits (IPR) to prevent illegal mining practices in several regions.
“President Prabowo is committed to expediting the issuance of community mining permits so that communities can mine legally and sustainably,” said Rosiade in Padang City on Monday.
He made the statement after visiting an elderly person named Saudah, who was allegedly assaulted for resisting illegal mining activities in Pasaman District on January 1, 2026.
