Who is Mikaël Kingsbury: everything you need to know about the freestyle skiing star
The 33-year-old is a true moguls legend.
He has bagged a record 143 World Cup podiums so far, plus 100 World Cup wins.
Kingsbury is all about records and is dubbed ‘the Wayne Gretzky of moguls’ – quite the achievement for such a massive ice hockey fan. He registered no fewer than 13 podium finishes in 13 races when he won his first World Cup in 2012 and had 19 podium finishes in a row between 2011 and 2013.
The reason why he has set so many records is partly due to his precocity. He competed in his first-ever World Cup in 2010, aged 17, two years before he became the youngest moguls athlete ever to win the overall World Cup ranking.
