A status yellow wind warning will come into effect early on Tuesday morning, with Mét Eireann predicting extremely windy conditions for Cork and five other counties.
The national forecaster said the yellow warning, issued ahead of the arrival of Storm Chandra to Irish shores will bring very strong and gusty winds, particularly along coastal and exposed areas across Cork, Kerry, Waterford, Wexford, Dublin and Louth.
The yellow advisory will come into effect at 5am tomorrow and remain in place until 11pm on Tuesday night.
Mét Eireann warned possible impacts may include fallen tress and loose debris, wave overtopping and hazardous travel conditions.
