Former Commission on Elections (Comelec) spokesperson James Jimenez has passed away at the age of 52, the poll body announced Wednesday.
The Comelec mourned the passing of Jimenez, “who served the institution and the Filipino people with integrity, clarity, and utmost dedication.”
“Jimenez holds the rare distinction of being the longest-serving and youngest spokesperson in government at the time of his appointment,” the Comelec said in a Facebook post.
