Pupuk Indonesia has agreed to establish cooperation with Somiphos, a phosphate mining company from Algeria. The agreement is set out in a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on the development of the phosphate industry, which was signed directly by Pupuk Indonesia President Director Rahmad Pribadi and Somiphos President Director Mokhtar Lekhal in Algeria on 20 January 2026.
