Film director Steven Spielberg has achieved EGOT status after winning a Grammy Award at the 2026 ceremony in Los Angeles.
The 79-year-old won Best Music Film as a producer of Music by John Williams, a documentary celebrating the composer whose work has shaped some of cinema’s best-known scores.
In a statement after the win, Spielberg thanked Grammy voters and said the recognition for Music by John Williams “means the world” to him.
The award completes Spielberg’s set of major US entertainment honours, having previously won Emmys, Oscars and a Tony. He received the Tony as a producer of the musical A Strange Loop.
