A 20-year-old man has been arrested on a firearms charge, following an incident near the border with Donegal.
Police detectives charged the man, following the report of an incident involving a suspected firearm, in the Castlefin Road area of Castlederg on the 8th of February.
The man has been charged with the offence of possession of firearm(s) or ammunition in suspicious circumstances.
He has been charged to appear before Strabane Magistrate’s Court on the 12th of March.
Police say that as usual procedure, the charge will be reviewed by the Public Prosecution Service.
