Vulnerable patients are being “pushed to the pin of their collar with rising prices” after the Government decided to cut funding for medical blister packs, a move local TD Sorca Clarke labelled as “cruel” and “short-sighted.”
The decision has sparked concern across Westmeath and throughout the country, with warnings flooding in that older people and those with disabilities now face bills of up to €50 a month for a service that was previously free.
