Open-source coding projects are being inundated with vibe-coded AI slop, and the team behind the Godot game engine’s GitHub are asking for help. They’re drowning in pull requests that are time consuming to sift through, and often unhelpful to the project, PCGamer reports.
The whole purpose of open-source software is to allow the wider global community of developers to altruistically contribute to the project. They might fork it to turn it into something else, but it’s about the collaborative effort.
