Meet the voice of Croke Park – the Kerry man who helped develop the next generation of Dublin stars

You may not know the name, but you’ve heard him countless times. Always in those distinct, dulcet tones. “The voice recognition is actually scary,” the man himself admits.

Jerry Grogan is a familiar face in his native south Kerry and multiple corners of Dublin. You may remember him as a teacher, principal, affable presence around the GAA press box – or, more likely still, as ‘Mister Dublin Cumann na mBunscol’. But many fans of the various Gaelic codes “wouldn’t have a clue what I look like,” Grogan confirms.
