Sexy shows are back, first on HBO, which boasted one of the biggest hits of 2025 with Heated Rivalry. Now, we’re back in 2026 with Amazon Prime Video’s 56 days, a self-proclaimed “erotic thriller” that has already hit #1 on the service, thanks in part to Amazon choosing to binge drop it. And audiences are really liking it, at least according to its Rotten Tomatoes score.
56 Days is teetering on the edge with critics, a just-fresh 60% on Rotten Tomatoes, but a much higher 78% audience score. That’s not sky-high but it is the highest audience-scored 2026 series on Amazon so far, higher than Cross, Steal and even the new, ten-years-later season 2 of The Night Manager….
