The Minnesota Wild are ready to make another splash on the trade market.
After landing the biggest fish of the season so far in defenceman Quinn Hughes, Wild general manager Bill Guerin has been rumored to be offering goaltender Jesper Wallstedt in trade conversations, to see how much of an impact forward he can add to his group.
Wallstedt, 23, is signed through next season at just $2.2 million, and is a pending restricted free agent at the end of his current contract. He does not hold any trade protection. The former first-round pick has appeared in 23 games this season, posting a 14-5-4 record, along with a 2.68 goals against average, and .914 save percentage.
