Republic of Ireland Under-21 international Trent Kone-Doherty has ended a four-year stay with Liverpool by joining Norwegian club Molde, subject to international clearance.
The 19-year-old, capped at every underage level for Ireland and with three U-21 caps since making his bow last September, has signed in a deal worth a reported €750,000.
Kone-Doherty joined from Derry City in 2022 and did enough to catch Jurgen Klopp’s attention when he was invited to train with the first-team squad when the German was in charge.
A regular for the Liverpool Under-21 side, he has made two senior appearances under Arne Slot, the most recent coming in the League Cup against Crystal Palace last October.
