An arm-wrestle of a game ended with another defeat in Wales for Richie Murphy’s men, their third of the season from the same number of visits to the Principality.

A flurry of activity at either end of the contest enlivened a fairly dour struggle at the Brewery Field and decided it in favour of the hosts, though Ulster will feel hard done by after Angus Bell’s second-half try was ruled out after Marcus Rea – who was then yellow carded – was adjudged to have cleaned out illegally ahead of the Wallaby’s score.
