PROBAT will debut its new Cx70 drum roaster at Hotelex Shanghai, which takes place between 30 March and 2 April.
With a maximum roasting capacity of 350 kilograms per hour, PROBAT says the roaster is tailored to meet the diverse requirements of modern specialty coffee production. Roasting times can also vary between six and 20 minutes.
The Cx70 also features an optional partial recirculation system which enhances sustainability. It redirects a portion of the cleaned roasting exhaust back into the combustion chamber, where the residual heat reduces the need for additional thermal energy. PROBAT says this leads to energy savings of up to 20 per cent.
