Mercedes Moné’s Championship Struggles Continue with Recent Losses
Mercedes Moné is currently facing a challenging period in her wrestling career, having lost two championships in quick succession. This follows a string of title defeats dating back to late 2025.
Most recently, on March 8, 2026, Moné lost the BestYa Wrestling Women’s Championship to Swan in Bagnolo Cremasco, Italy . This loss came just days after she relinquished the CMLL World Women’s Championship to Persephone at Arena Mexico on Friday night .
This extends a losing streak for Moné, which began with a loss of the RevPro Undisputed British Women’s Championship to Alex Windsor on December 17, 2025, at an AEW Collision taping in Manchester. She and Athena subsequently failed to capture the AEW Women’s World Tag Team Championship at World’s End, falling to The Babes of Wrath. Four days later, on January 1, 2026, Willow Nightingale defeated Moné for the TBS Championship at New Year’s Smash.
Despite these recent setbacks, Moné remains a highly sought-after performer. She is scheduled to appear for Banger Zone Wrestling in France on March 14 and RevPro on March 21. She will also return to Winnipeg Pro Wrestling on March 31, the night before AEW presents Dynamite in the city.
As of March 9, 2026, Moné holds seven championships across various independent groups .
