LOS ANGELES – No. 7 UCLA softball team recorded another run-rule victory Saturday night, defeating Michigan State 18-10 at Easton Stadium to clinch the Big Ten series.
The Bruins (24-3, 5-0 Big Ten) extended their conference-best winning streak to 18 games while earning their 16th run-rule victory of the season. UCLA finished with nine hits and eight walks and took advantage of five Spartan (13-12, 0-2 Big Ten) fielding errors. Four of the Bruins’ hits were home runs, extending the team’s streak to 19 consecutive games with at least one homer.
Senior Jordan Woolery reached base in all four plate appearances, going 3-for-3 with a double, a home run, four RBIs, three runs scored and a walk. Her 17th homer of the season…
