The NHL’s Eastern Conference playoffs are heating up, and the Ottawa Senators have put themselves right in the thick of the race thanks to a strong post-Olympic push.
After a weekend sweep of the Anaheim Ducks and San Jose Sharks, Ottawa sits just three points back of the Detroit Red Wings for the second wild card spot with one game in hand.
The Sens have dropped just one regulation game since the Olympic break, going 6-1-2 over that span.
