Valerie Adams is a four-time world indoor champion who claimed the last of those crowns in Sopot in 2014. The shot put star has returned to Poland for the World Athletics Indoor Championships Kujawy Pomorze 26, this time as the World Athletics ambassador.
Here are her top five events to look forward to during the three-day competition, which gets under way on Friday (20).
Women’s shot put
“Obviously first up is the women’s shot put. I’m looking forward to Sarah (Mitton), Chase (Jackson), Yemisi (Ogunleye) and Jessica (Schilder) fighting it out. With the event at the moment, it has been a bit of a guessing game who will come out on top, which is fantastic.”
