Limerick-based company unveils plan to increase its global workforce

A COMPANY, which has a base at Gardens International in the city centre, has unveiled plans to create new jobs.

A wearable health and fitness technology company, Whoop operates a regional hub in Limerick where 50 people are employed.

Now, the firm – which has singer Niall Horan and golf stars Rory McIlroy and Shane Lowry among its investors – has announced it is expanding its headcount nationwide, creating 600 roles.

It’s not clear how many roles will be based in Limerick, but the positions will be in software, research and design, hardware, product and marketing.
