Calgary Flames’ Connor Zary leaves game after hit from A.J. Greer

Calgary Flames forward Connor Zary left Friday’s game against Florida in the third period after Panthers’ forward A.J. Greer hit him from behind and into the boards.

The incident occurred with just under nine minutes remaining in the third when Greer shoved Zary in the numbers and sent him tumbling face-first into the boards. The 24-year-old centre stayed down and clutched at his upper-back/neck area before eventually skating off the ice and going down the tunnel under his own power accompanied by a trainer.
