Retro arcade plan for city centre shop

Plans have been lodged to turn a homeware store into a retro gaming venue in Derby city centre.

Continue Arcades has submitted a planning application to Derby City Council to convert Home Decor in East Street into an arcade.

Documents state the proposed lounge would consist of classic arcade machines and games consoles as well as games such as pool and air hockey.

They add there would be no gambling facilities, betting activities or cash prizes at the new venue.
