Social welfare Ireland: Payment date change warning issued to recipients amid huge schedule shake-up

In the next few weeks, there will be a change to normal social welfare dates due to the Easter Monday bank holiday, the Department of Social Protection has confirmed

Those in receipt of social welfare are being reminded that a change is coming to the payment schedule in the next few weeks which will see payment dates being moved.

Easter Monday falls on April 6 just a few weeks’ time. Due to this, banks and post offices will remain shut on that date.

As a result of this, anyone expecting a social welfare payment on April 6 will most likely receive it…
