Newcestown made it two wins from two in Division 2 of the RedFM Hurling League as they saw off Ballymartle by 0-21 to 0-12 on Sunday.
Having opened their campaign with victory over Na Piarsaigh a fortnight ago, the west Cork club built on that with a fine all-round display and led by 0-10 to 0-7 at half-time. Richard O’Sullivan impacted from play and frees while his brother Séamus and Edmund Kenneally also got on the scoresheet and Podge Collins contributed three points after coming on as a sub.
They did have a stroke of fortune as a Ballymartle goal was ruled out at a time when the deficit would have been cut to four points. Leo Hennessy, Luke O’Callaghan and Ryan Deasy weighed in…
