Manchester City won the first piece of the silverware of English season on Sunday, securing a deserved victory over Arsenal in the Carabao Cup final.
It was an excellent performance from Pep Guardiola’s side, who were tactically streets ahead of their opponents on the day. Nico O’Reilly would score both goals, with Arsenal failing to create many chances of note.
City were also given a helping hand by the opposition goalkeeper. Backup Kepa Arrizabalaga started for Mikel Arteta’s side, going on to make a costly error for the game’s opening goal.
“Kepa’s lost it, AND O’REILLY HAS STOLEN!”
