Gardaí have warned users of Apple devices about a new virus that is targeting the software.
An Garda Siochana said the malware can infect devices through compromised websites or malicious links, allowing the virus to evade normal security protections. They asked that people update their devices to help avoid the virus.
The malware specifically targets Apple products, and Gardaí said that the virus gives no indication on the device, so you may not even know that your phone has been compromised. The virus can access data linked to the phone.
