RTÉ’s ‘Today’ Celebrates 2,000 Episodes with Landmark Broadcast

Today, RTÉ One’s long-running afternoon show, reached a significant milestone this week, celebrating its 2,000th episode. The landmark episode, broadcast on Tuesday, March 24, 2026, marked the first time presenters Maura Derrane, Dáithí Ó Sé, and Sinéad Kennedy hosted the show together according to RTÉ.

A Decade of Daytime Television

Maura Derrane and Dáithí Ó Sé initially began hosting Today on November 1, 2012. Sinéad Kennedy joined the presenting team in September 2020 as reported by RTÉ. The show has become a staple of Irish daytime television, known for its mix of chat, lifestyle segments, and current affairs.
