Liverpool goalkeeper Caoimhin Kelleher with scorer Diogo Jota
Arne Slot has confirmed that Alisson will return to the Liverpool starting XI, at the expense of his stand-in Caoimhín Kelleher, once he gets the all-clear from the club’s medical staff following a concussion issue.
Kelleher started in goal for the Reds in Wednesday’s 1-0 win at home to Everton, the Cork native getting his chance as Alisson was forced to sit that out due to concussion protocols having sustained a head injury while on international duty for Brazil.
Liverpool face Fulham on Sunday as they edge closer to the Premier League title but Slot stated that Alisson remained his No. 1 and would play if available.
