Apple TV 4K Announced With A19 Chip and Updated Siri Remote

Apple unveiled the fourth-generation Apple TV 4K during its Welcome Home event on October 13, 2026. The new streaming device features an A19 chip, conversational Siri AI powered by Apple Intelligence, and built-in far-field microphones for hands-free voice control. The updated Siri Remote includes Find My support with Precision Finding. Additionally, the device supports surround sound with four HomePods arranged in front and rear pairs. Both the new Apple TV 4K and the HomePod mini are scheduled to ship on October 30.

   Why it matters

This release marks the first update to the Apple TV 4K line in four years, addressing long-standing user complaints about misplaced controllers by adding Find My capabilities to the remote. The integration of the A19 chip and conversational Siri AI pushes the device deeper into Apple's broader ecosystem strategy for smart home control. Concurrently, the HomePod mini 2 is also set to arrive at the end of October.
