Some 100,000 people will be without power until February due to damage caused by Storm Éowyn, the worst storm to hit Ireland in decades.
More than 300,000 homes and businesses remained without electricity on Sunday afternoon, while 109,000 had yet to have water restored.
A fresh weather warning has been issued by Met Éireann as the multimillion euro clean-up operation continues after Friday’s weather event which saw winds of more than 180km/h in parts of the West.
