Demographic, clinical and behavioral characteristics of the studied population
The mean age of all participants was 22.8 years, with a standard deviation of 2.4 years and extremes ranging from 18 to 31 years. A predominance of females was reported (n = 105, 95%), which corroborates the findings of previous studies in which most lens wearers were females [13, 15, 18, 31].
