Fresh voice, new ideas, change of mindset, bounce factor, honeymoon period … all valid reasons why we should have been nervous heading to the Principality Stadium yesterday.
But the main reason we should have been worried was a Test match away from home against a country which has produced many great sides and some of the best players the game has ever seen. All Wales needed, it seems now, was a bit of guidance and confidence. They were always unlikely to be as poor as they looked in Paris and Rome.
